Our monthly meeting is Wednesday November 18th at the Aksarben Aquarium. We'll be holding our yearly elections. So come and show your support for our club. The fly of the month this month is the Black Gnat. There are both wet and dry versions of a "Black Gnat" fly, so pick one of your favorites to enter the contest.
We have a several Project Healing Waters events scheduled for this month. We will be tying flies with veterans on November 10th at the Lincoln VA, November 12th at Bellevue University, and November 19th at the Victory Apartments in Omaha. Check the CFF calendar for more details.
Also on Thursday November 19th, carp fly fishing enthusiast and CFF member Larry Dostal will be sharing his presentation "Nebraskarp" at the Fly Tying Round Table at the Charles H. Gere Library in Lincoln. The presentation starts at 6:00 PM. His presentation covers tips, techniques, and fly patterns that will help you catch this often maligned fish. If you have any interest in catching carp on the fly don't miss out!
