May 2016 CFF Events and Agnes Adams Bluegill Contest!

We had an excellent turnout to or Spring Fling 2016. Jason Randall had several great presentations and some great feedback from our club. We hope everyone had a great time!

Warm spring weather is finally upon us and there are lots of fish being caught around our Cornhusker state.  We have a full slate of club events this month, just in time for the gorgeous great plains spring!

This month's meeting is Wednesday the 18th.  Club member Bob White will be giving a presentation on Fly Fishing for Bluegill (He's the reigning 1-Fly contest champion by the way).  Doors open at 6:30 and the meeting starts at 7:00.  As usual we'll have great raffle prizes and casting lessons for those who show up early.  The fly of the month this month is the Copper John.  Check the fly of the month tab for more details.

The CFF Agnes Adams 1-Fly Bluegill Contest is Saturday the 21st at Burchard Lake. The contest starts at 2:00 PM.  Check back for details!

Also, we have our usual Project Healing Waters events this month with one additional meeting.  We have our normal three meetings, next Tuesday the 10th in Lincoln at the VA, next Thursday the 12th at Bellevue University Veterans Service Center, and the following Thursday the 19st at the Victory Apartments in Omaha.  We also have a meeting with the Omaha VA on the 17th at 10:00.

And finally, our annual Fly Fishing School is next month, Saturday June 18th.  We have plenty of spots available for students.  The school is open to anyone interested in learning how to fly fish (over the age of 15).  Click Here >> 2016 Fly Fishing School << for all the information and to sign up!
