July Club Events

Wednesday July 15^th the Club will have a social distancing FISH OUT at Louisville State Park in Louisville, Nebraska.  Social distancing means maintaining a minimum one fly rod’s length from other people at all times.  There will not be a picnic or pot luck, you’re responsible for your own food and beverages.  The club will officially be there from 6 to 8pm, but feel free to show up earlier or stay late.  Please keep an eye on your email or our website for updates and possible cancelations. 

Our Thursday July 16^th Facebook or 7pm Live stream will be all about catching carp on the fly. We’ll discuss all the gear, tactics, and flies to target the ultimate freshwater game fish.   No Facebook account required, just follow the link from our club’s website, cornhuskerflyfishers.org. 

            Saturday July 18^th would normally be our annual CARPFEST PICNIC and CORNHUSKER CARPFEST contest, but due to the pandemic, we have cancelled the official club picnic.  To keep up with social distancing, the Cornhusker Carpfest contest has been moved to a virtual format.  If you are interested in participating, contact Larry Dostal at creekychub@gmail.com  Entry fee for the contest is $15 and you’ll get a new Cornhusker Carpfest hat!
