Agnes Adams 1-Fly Bluegill Contest This Saturday

Our annual 1-Fly Bluegill contest is this Saturday, May 30th at Lone Star Lake, South East of Geneva and West of Beatrice.  This year's contest will be the inaugural introduction of the Agnes Adams 1-Fly Contest.

Bluegill should be in pre-spawn mode and are getting close to forming beds, which means lots of great shallow fishing opportunities, and the best time of year to target them on the fly!

Whether you feel like throwing top-water, a nymph, or your favorite streamer, you're guaranteed to have some fast action.

If you can't decide on a pattern, here are two of my favorites for bluegill. Carter Nelson's SEM Sculpin, and the Chernobyl Ant.
