April 15th Zoom Meeting with Skip Morris!
Our Zoom fly tying video is going to work a little differently this month. We have lined up nationally renowned fly tying author Skip Morris! He will be talking to our club via Zoom about Bluegill and Bass Fishing, and he will be tying up one of his favorite bluegill patterns. Many of you may remember Skip from a presentation a few years ago, and we are happy to welcome him back!
Since Skip is giving us one of his professional presentations, this meeting will not be broadcast on Facebook Live… we will be using the club’s Zoom account. You can access that meeting on April 15th at 7PM, I will send out a link to the Zoom meeting when it is ready.
We will also be able to post a link to the video for the club for one week after the presentation. That link will be sent out to club members after the video.
Larry and I will not be demonstrating this month’s fly of the month, the Parachute Adams as a result. We will link to an instructional video on the website and the Facebook page.

Saturday April 24th, 9AM-12PM: Spring Fling with Kirk Deeter – IN PERSON!
Where: Wanahoo Education Building**
Cost: No cost for tickets due to Covid-19
**You are not required to have an NRD parking pass while attending the event at the education building.** If you do however want to fish afterwards, you will need a NRD park permit.
This will be our first in person club meeting with a special guest Kirk Deeter from Trout Unlimited. We are having a raffle as well; as well as recognizing some of our awards from 2020 that we were not able to celebrate in the moment.
Unfortunately, we will not be providing food or drinks due to Covid-19.
*All participants will be required to wear a mask while in the building!*
**Spring Fling 2020 Ticket Purchasers**: If you purchased a ticket to Spring Fling 2020, your ticket will be valid at the 2022 Spring Fling/Club Banquet, whether we are able to reschedule our banquet in 2021, or we are forced to postpone Spring Fling to 2022, you will already have your ticket. If you would like a refund, contact us, we will be able to arrange it.**

I will be reaching out to the club in the near future as Larry Pape (club member and Educational Specialist with Nebraska Game and Parks) would like to arrange for club members to teach fly fishing and fly tying at the following events:
May 26th: Holmes Lake - Lincoln
June 2nd: Fontanel Forrest - Omaha
June 23rd: Cramer Lake – Bellevue
July 27th: Mormon Island – Grand Island
If you are available to volunteer to teach casting or demonstrate fly tying at any/all these events, please let me know ASAP!
